This Privacy Policy explains what information Correctly Hired ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the third parties that help us run the Service.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data — your email address and a securely hashed version of your password.
• Audit criteria — the role titles and vetting criteria you configure.
• Candidate submissions — the profile or proposal text you submit for an audit, and the resulting scores and red flags.
• Payment data — processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
• Usage data — basic analytics about how the site is used.

2. How We Use It

We use your information to provide the Service — running audits against your criteria, maintaining your account and credit balance, processing payments, and improving reliability and security.

3. Service Providers

We rely on a small set of subprocessors to operate the Service:

• Anthropic — powers the AI audit (candidate text is sent to Anthropic to generate the assessment).
• Paddle — our Merchant of Record; handles checkout, payments, and tax. Transaction data is processed by Paddle in accordance with their privacy policy for order fulfillment and fraud prevention.
• Neon — our managed PostgreSQL database provider.
• Render — application hosting.
• Google — website analytics and advertising measurement (via Google tag).

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We store a short-lived session token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We use Google's analytics tag on our public pages to analyze traffic; we do not sell your personal information for monetary benefit or share your data with unauthorized third parties.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated records at any time from your dashboard; deletion is immediate and irreversible.

6. Security

Passwords and API tokens are stored only as salted hashes, and database connections are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at support@correctlyhired.com to exercise these rights; we will respond to all valid data requests within 30 days.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
